How Hard Can Building An Electric Van Tiny Home Be?

I decided to build out my tiny home-on-wheels simply and slowly even though I have limited building experience. Yes, it’s harder than I thought and if I didn’t love this lifestyle so much I would have given up the build already.

The good news about taking my time is that I also discovered the layout I love best for my needs while living in it. The bad part is that it feels like an endless work-in-progress.

Needless to say, it’s not an ideal experience to live and build at the same time, but it’s been an adventure and allowed me to get out and explore faster. Plus, I’ve learned to get by with less than I thought I needed and still have a super comfortable living space.

To be honest, there were many moments when I wanted to abandon everything because I was in over my head. My introverted nature is to go it alone but I stepped outside my comfort zone and asked for help along the way.

This off-grid lifestyle isn’t for everyone but it’s nice to know you don’t need everything figured out before you start. You just need to be curious about where you want to go and open to possibility around every turn.

Oh, and ask for help when you’re in over your head.

Charge on!
